Madonnina Sessions is an international creative collective with roots in Japan and Italy.
Our start goes back to Spring ‘22, when a small group of university students led by Emy (ChottoKimoi) began a series of underground parties called Naked Wednesdays to fight dorm-life boredom.
Hosted under a highway overpass in the outskirts of Nagoya, Japan, the party went on until Summer ‘23 when it was eventually shut down by local authorities.
Simultaneously, Madonnina-founder Matt (now back home living between Milan and Sanremo, Italy) began hosting small summer gatherings at his house named Villa Madonnina.
Following a Vinyl-only policy, accompanied by food and drinks, these small parties were soon dubbed Madonnina Sessions among friends.
After moving back to Japan in September ‘24, Madonnina Sessions was officially born thanks to a 9-people team working between the two countries, creatively collaborating on all aspects of the project.
Today, Madonnina Sessions tries to honor its underground roots while building a welcoming community through music.

Our events aim to be a safe space for everyone. To put it lightly, we will not tolerate any (slightly) f*cked up sh*t and will impose a zero-tolerance policy on any individual harassing a fellow human. Just be cool, please :-)
